MARY ADALINE DODSON

Of 223 Main St., Roaring Spring, formerly of East Freedom, died at 11.40
a.m. Thursday in Nason Hospital. Mrs. Dodson was born Dec. 19, 1866, in
Johnstown, a daughter of Charles and Sarah (Hanley) Birkhimer. Her
husband, Edward, died in 1933. Surviving are eight children, Mrs. Sadie
Feathers and Mrs. Jennie Smeltzer of Roaring Spring, Mrs. Elizabeth
Gardner of Harrisburg, Mrs. Pearl Mowry of Lakemont, Mrs. Edith Stoker
of Altoona, James of Oregon and Charles and Wilford of East Freedom; 28
grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Mae Nofsker of Roaring Spring and
Mrs. Pearl Deeter of Washington, D.C. Mrs. Dodson was a member of the
Church of God. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home,
Roaring Spring, after 7 p.m. today.
