Formerly of this city, died at Williamsport on Saturday. He was married to Miss Fannie Watson, daughter of Jackson and Elizabeth Watson, deceased, of Altoona, and sister of J. M. Watson, the gunsmith, and Misses Sadie and Eliza Watson of 1010 Howard avenue. During the war the deceased was captain of Company D, Seventh Pennsylvania Reserves. He was in the Andersonville prison for nine months, and after his release was unable, on account of ill health, resulting from the hardships and exposure of prison life, to re-enter the army, in which he had an honorable record as a brave soldier. The funeral took place today from the residence of the deceased in Williamsport. Altoona Mirror, February 25, 1895
