He was born in Cornwall, England on July 15, 1879 and came to this city on May, 1913, from Dumfries, Scotland. He was employed by Gately and Fitzgerald, the East Side furniture dealers and boarded at the home of Samuel Yocum, 525 Fourth avenue, where he died. He is survived by his mother and a sister in Dumfries, Scotland. One brother, Gordon, with the British army in France and by a brother, James Donaldson, of 415 East Harrison avenue, this city. The body was prepared for burial by Funeral Director Otto G. Gilden and the funeral announcement will be made later. Altoona Times, Wednesday Morning, October 9, 1918
