Death of an Infant.

Alice, the infant daughter of Dennis M. and the late Martha E.
Donnelly, died Friday, aged 8 weeks and 2 days.

Farewell, sweet babe, farewell;
Yon quivering leaves of gold
Will deck the infant grave
When thou are cold.

The autumn breezes, too
Sighing the evening hours,
Will murmur thy darling name
To shimmering flowers.

Farewell, loved one, farewell;
When youth and beauty dies,
No one can paint our grief
Or burdened sighs.

Farewell, sweet babe, farewell;
May light around thee shine
Through the eternal years,
Sweet peace be thine.
