MRS. MARTHA B. DOUGHERTY

Of 1216 Nineteenth avenue, died at 8.25 o'clock this morning at Mercy
hospital following an extended illness.  She was born in Altoona July
27, 1888, a daughter of John A. and Bridget (Gunning) Cupples.  Mrs.
Dougherty was a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament.
Surviving are her husband, James B. Dougherty, sr., and the following
children: John A., James B., jr., and Mrs. Mary T. Dumm of Altoona,
Joseph C. of West Bridgewater, Pa., and Donald R., in the navy at
Bainbridge, Md.; two brothers, James Cupples of Altoona and William of
Philadelphia, and 11 grandchildren. Friends will be received at the N.
A. Stevens mortuary after 7 o'clock tomorrow evening.
