Douglass, a well known resident of the Sixth ward, was found dead at his home, 1918 Sixth avenue, at 8 o'clock yesterday morning by his brother, George A. Douglass, of 1511 Seventh avenue. Deceased was a widower, and since the death of his wife a few years ago had resided alone. He was preparing to take up his residence with his brother in a few days and when last seen alive was apparently in good health. Yesterday morning Mr. George A. Douglass went to his brother's home and found him dead. A physician who was summoned said death was due to heart disease, and that he had been dead for several hours. Coroner McCartney, who was notified, decided an inquest unnecessary, death having been due to natural causes. Harry C. Douglass was born at Hollidaysburg February 3, 1855. He came to this city when 5 years of age and had resided here since. At the close of his school days he learned the trade of a carpenter and for a number of years was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad company. During the past year he had worked for outside contractors. He was a member of the First Baptist church and was also a Mason. He is survived by one child, Charles C. Douglass, who lives with relatives at Gallitzin; also by two brothers, John H. Douglass and George A. Douglass, of this city, and one sister, Mrs. Jennie Burley, of Philadelphia. The funeral will take place from the residence of Mr. George A. Douglass, 1511 Seventh avenue, Tuesday afternoon, services to be conducted at the house at ? o'clock by Rev. J. S. James, D.D.
