DEATHS OF CHILDREN.

  Charles E., only son of Charles R. Downing, deceased, and Elizabeth 
R. Downing, of 503 Sixth avenue, died on Saturday afternoon, of 
membraneous croup.  His illness extended over a period of two weeks, 
and at the time of death he was aged 5 years and 9 months.
