DOYLE Died Saturday, August 1, on the Hegie farm, near Orbisonia, aged 50 years. He is survived by his wife and two brothers, John of this city and Simon of Chicago; also by one sister, Mrs. Andrew Wineland of this city. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Friday, August 7, 1908, page 16 Sylvester A. Doyle, died Saturday, August 1st, 1908 at 5 p. m. at his home on the Hegie farm near Locke's Valley station at the age of 50 years. He was a son of Dominick and Elizabeth Doyle and was born near Doylesburg, Franklin county, Pa. After he grew up to manhood he went west, first to Iowa, then to Nebraska where he remained probably a year when he returned to Pennsylvania and married Miss Francis Snare, and then bought the Andrew Hegie farm where he has lived the past sixteen years. He was an industrious citizen and good neighbor. Mr. Doyle is survived by his wife and one adopted son, also by two brothers, John of Altoona, and Simon of Chicago, and a sister, Mrs. Andrew Wineland, also of Altoona. The deceased was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic church, Shade Valley, and his death was due to cancer, he being ill more than a year. Interment in church cemetery Tuesday morning Rev. Father McQuillen of Huntingdon officiating. The widow and other bereaved ones have the heartfelt sympathy of all friends.
