He was born in Germany, Aug. 19, 1854, and had been a resident of this city for the past thirty-three years, he being employed in the Twelfth street blacksmith shop. He was married to Dorothea Schaich, now deceased. One sister, Mrs. Mary Schneider, and the following children survive: Carl W., Mrs. Fred Glover, Mrs. Robert Schroeder, all of this city; Mrs. Joseph Oeccheger of Philadelphia and Frederick R., with the United States army in France. Mr. Drexler was a member of St. James Lutheran church. Private funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock, followed by interment in Fairview cemetery.
