DREXLER

  Christian Drexler died on Friday night at 11 o'clock at his home, 
1311 First avenue, death being caused by pneumonia.  He was born in 
Germany, Aug. 19, 1854, and had been a resident of this city for the 
past thirty-three years, he being employed in the Twelfth street 
blacksmith shop.  He was married to Dorothea Schaich, now deceased.  
One sister, Mrs. Mary Schneider, and the following children survive: 
Carl W., Mrs. Fred Glover, Mrs. Robert Schroeder, all of this city; 
Mrs. Joseph Oeccheger of Philadelphia and Frederick R., with the United 
States army in France.  Mr. Drexler was a member of St. James Lutheran 
church.  Private funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 
o'clock, followed by interment in Fairview cemetery.
