Drips, formerly a resident of this place, who was killed in the recent desperate battle at Pea Ridge, Arkansas. He was Captain of an Iowa company, and fell whilst gallantly leading his men against the enemy. He served as a private in the Mexican war, and was a brave and generous a spirit ever shouldered a musket or drew a sword. Peace to his manes!
