All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ Died at the Upper Forge The death angel visited the home of Armstrong Dry at the "Upper Forge", just east of Tyrone, at 5 o'clock this morning, and took therefrom the wife and mother. Mrs. Dry had been ailing for six months and her death was caused by dropsy. Born in Centre county, Dec. 24, 1865, the deceased was 28 years, 6 months and 29 days, when she passed away. Her maiden name was Laura Rine, and until shortly before her marriage she continued to reside in Centre county. After her union with Mr. Dry, they resided in Tyrone and for the past few years at the "Upper Forge" near the Tyrone Iron works where her husband is employed as a forgeman. Surviving are her husband and three children, Edna, Margaret and Joseph. Several brothers and sisters are also left to mourn their loss, among them Mrs. Amos Dry, of near Tyrone. The bereaved family have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in the death at so early an age of the beloved wife and mother. Funeral services will be held at 2.30 Tuesday afternoon at the late home of the deceased. Rev. R. H. Gilbert will officiate. Interment in Tyrone cemetery. She was born in Centre county, December 24, 1865, and her maiden name was Laura Rhine. Surviving are her husband and three children - Edna, Margaret and Joseph; a sister, Mrs. Amos Dry, of this place, and several sisters and brothers in Centre county, Pa. Funeral services will be held at the late home this afternoon at 2 30, to be conducted by Rev. R. H. Gilbert. Interment in Tyrone cemetery.
