Mrs. Mary Dunn, widow of John Dunn, died at her home on Hickory street, about 3 o'clock on Saturday afternoon. She had for some time past been afflicted with pneumonia, and finally expired of that disease. The deceased was a daughter of Patrick Esmond, and was born in county Kildare, Ireland, in the year 1810. In 1832 she was married to John Duggan, and the fruit of that union was Mrs. Jerome Rooney, of Hollidaysburg. After the death of Mr. Duggan she was wedded to John Dunn, to whom she bore a son, John, who died in Andersonville prison during the war of the rebellion, and a daughter, Mary, wife of John McLaughlin, of Hollidaysburg. The deceased had been a resident of this community for forty years, was highly respected by her friends and neighbors, and was a devout member of St. Mary's Catholic church. Rev. Father Donnelly will officiate at a requiem mass over the remains in St. Mary's church this morning at 9 o'clock. Interment in the Catholic cemetery.
