He was out of doors playing, and becoming cold he sook [took] an armful of shavings, went into the home, placed them on the stove- plate and then sat down in front of the stove to warm himself. In an instant his clothes took fire, and before any assistance came he burned to a crisp. The mother is a poor widow (her husband having been killed on the railroad last Spring) and makes a procarious living by washing, at which she was engaged, from home, at the time the deplorable accident occured.
