Mr. Durham was a son of George and Martha Durham and was born on Feb. 9, 1871, at Abergavenny, England. He came to the United States when about 18 years of age and was employed at the foundry just east of Tyrone. He became an expert moulder and later was made foreman of that department. He retired several years ago. During his life in Tyrone, he resided at the John Foster home, 813 Park Avenue. Surviving are these brothers and sisters: Samuel Durham of Detroit, Mich., Thomas, Caleb, Harris, Rhoda, Eva, Lucy, Alice, and Edith Durham of England. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a teacher in the Sunday school for thirty years. He was also a member of the Y.M.C.A. and the Red Cross. Altoona Mirror, October 27, 1943
