Durham, a former resident of this city and the father of Harry C. Durham of this city died last Wednesday at the Haymaker hospital at Penyan, N.Y., death being caused by a complication of diseases, superinduced by advanced age, he being 87 years old at the time of his death. Besides Harry C. Durham, he is survived by two other sons, Cady B.? Durham and John L. Durham, both of Flint, Michigan, and three daughters, Mrs. J. W. Harris of Elmira, N.Y., and Mrs. Charles Coats and Mrs. John E. Acherson, both of Penyan. He was a veteran of the Civil war, having served in the United States navy during that conflict. He was on board the ship Norwich and participated in a number of engagements. Interment was made Saturday afternoon at Penyan. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Monday Morning, April 1, 1918
