She was born on February 12, 1919 in Tyrone, PA and was the daughter of Clark C. and Anna G. Swope Cox. Anna Jane was a graduate of Shippensburg University and had retired as an elementary school teacher for Montoursville School District. She was an original member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where she was a past president of the Altar and Rosary Society, a Eucharist Minister, Lector and Commentator. She was a member of the Divine Providence Auxiliary where she was a volunteer. She was also a volunteer at Sycamore Manor, a member of the Montoursville Sr. Citizens, the Montoursville Fire Co. Auxiliary, the PA State Police Auxiliary and the Montoursville Garden Club. Surviving her are three sons: Michael J. (Marty) Anderson of New Braunfels, TX, Davis C. (Peg) Anderson of Meadville, PA and John P. (Judy) Anderson of Cambridge Springs; a daughter: Mary Jane (Larry) Fisher of Honey Brook, PA; a step-son William J. (Linda) Earley of Valatie, NY; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandsons and 16 great- grandchildren. Predeceasing her were two husbands: Jack N. Anderson and William J. Earley and a son, Thomas J. Anderson. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 27 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 100 Walnut Street, Montoursville, with the Rev. Leo J. McKernan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. There will be a visitation at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 26. Contributions may be made to either, Susquehanna Cancer Center or Susquehanna Regional Home Health and Hospice.
