EATON, Who formerly resided at Hollidaysburg, died at his home in Newport, Tenn., of illness due to old age. He was 71. For many years he was a plasterer at Hollidaysburg and later a paper hanger. Ten years ago he went south and has since resided with his son-in-law, Frederick Traddon. His wife and daughter preceded him to the grave. He is survived by two sisters and one brother, viz.: Mrs. Katharine Hill, of Hollidaysburg; Mrs. Belle Young, of Moorestown, N.J., and I. G. Eaton, of Philadelphia. He was a charter member of Hollidaysburg assembly, Artisans Order of Mutual Protection, and retained his membership in that organization up until the time of his death. The remains will be brought north to Cincinnati, O., where in accordance to the wishes of the deceased, they will be cremated. The ashes will then be brought here and deposited in the family lot in the Lutheran cemetery, Hollidaysburg. It is probably that a delegation of the Artisans' assembly will go west to Cincinnati to meet the funeral party. Altoona Mirror, Wednesday, October 31, 1900
