H. Ebaugh. At the Woman’s hospital, Philadelphia, Mrs. William H. Ebaugh, of Bellwood, died at 6 o’clock Wednesday, May 5th. She had been operated on at 3 p. m. The result was entirely unexpected, but she never rallied and was barely conscious when she passed away. Mrs. Ebaugh had been frail for a long time and had insisted on the operation as a chance for relief, but her vitality was not sufficient to pull back to life after the operation,. She was a daughter of the late William S. and Matilda McFarland Stevens, and was born in Centre county, later residing with her parents at Tipton until her marriage to William H. Ebaugh, November 24, 1870. They resided at Bellwood, Tyrone, Lewistown Vineland, N. J., Milroy and Philadelphia, returning to Bellwood in January, 1913. For many years she had been a member of the Presbyterian church and of some of the auxiliary organizations, but inherent weakness had for a long time prevented her from taking all active part in church work as she formerly had done. She was a loving wife, an affectionate daughter and a devoted mother to her adopted daughter. She was the only child. Mrs. Mahlon Cryder of Tyrone, being an adopted sister.
