She was born Aug. 14, 1901, in Warriors Mark, the daughter of H. Harry and Caroline (Gensimore) Nearhoof, and March 28, 1922, in Bellwood, married S. Clyde Ebbs, who died July 19, 1979. Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Dorothy Dunn of Mobile, Ala., and Mrs. Clydene Grove of Bellwood; four grand-children and a great-grand- child. Also surviving are two sisters: Mrs. Amber Laird and Mrs. Evelyn Leddy of Bellwood. Mrs. Ebbs was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood, where she was a member of the Ladies Bible Class and Women's Society of Christian Service. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Gerald D. Johnson Funeral Home, Bellwood. EBBS - Services for Lettie Ebbs of 614 E. 8th St., Bellwood, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Gerald D. Johnson Funeral Home, Bellwood, by the Rev. William H. Wassell.
