S. CLYDE EBBS
Bellwood Man Dies

S. Clyde Ebbs, 80, of 164 E. 8th St., Bellwood, died unexpectedly at 
7:29 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 1979, in Altoona Hospital. Mr. Ebbs 
retired as a self-employed plasterer. He was born Sept. 20, 1898, in 
Centre Line, the son of Wilson and Elizabeth (Ellenberger) Ebbs, and 
March 28, 1922 in Bellwood, married Lettie Nearhoof.  Surviving are his 
wife, two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Dunn of Mobile, Ala., and Mrs. 
Clydene Grove of Bellwood, and four grandchildren. Mr. Ebbs was a 
member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood; Bellwood AARP 
and Cement and Plaster Finishers Union, Bellwood. Friends will be 
received from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Gerald D. Johnson Funeral Home, 
Bellwood. 

EBBS - Services for S. Clyde Ebbs of 4 E. 8th St., Bellwood, will be 
held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Gerald D. Johnson Funeral Home, 
Bellwood, by the Rev. William H. Wassell. Interment in Blair Memorial 
Park, Bellwood. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the 
funeral home.
