Ebersole [photo] VETERAN OF WORLD WAR DIES AT HOME Harry Clinton Ebersole, veteran of the World war and employe of the Pennsylvania Railroad company, died at his home, 301 1/2 Belleview street, Garden Heights, at 10.15 o'clock Saturday night of a heart attack. Death occurred shortly after he retired for the night. Mr. Ebersole, while not in good health for the past year, had worked at his place in the East Altoona enginehouse on Saturday night as usual and had not complained of feeling ill when he went to bed, according to members of his family. He was born at Riddlesburg, Jan. 23, 1872, a son of Daniel and Polly Ebersole. He had been employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad company as a boilermaker for more than thirty-five years. During the World war he served with the 14th engineers, being located in France for a period of eight months. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Janetta (Yon) Ebersole, and three children, Mrs. Merna Reffner, Mrs. Ethel Filer, and Crawford C. Ebersole, all of this city. Eight grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. Clara Force of Llyswen, Mrs. Jennie Myers of Roaring Spring, Ross Ebersole of Baker Summit, William Ebersole of Ore Hill, Mrs. Teresa Teeter, Alvin and Howard Ebersole and Mrs. Mabel Detterline, all of New Enterprise, and Edward Ebersole of Osterburg. He was of the Methodist faith. Funeral services will be held at the late home at 2.30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon with Rev. Dr. Marion Justus Kline, pastor of the First Lutheran church, officiating. Interment will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery. Members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, of which he was a member, will conduct military services. The veterans will meet at the post home at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., November 5, 1928 CARDS OF THANKS.
