MRS. ROSIE LEE ECHARD

Who resided at the home of a nephew, William F. Hewitt of 4022 3rd 
Ave., died at 8:40 p.m. yesterday in the Altoona Hospital, where she 
was admitted Sunday, after a brief illness. She was born in Altoona 
Jan. 28, 1897, a daughter of Andrew J. and Mary Alice (Spayde) Dunkle 
and married Raymond Echard, who died 14 years ago.  Surviving are 8 
children, Betty, Jack, Mrs. Myrtle Wike, Raymond, Janet, William, John 
and Kenneth; four grandchildren, a sister and brother, Mrs. Sue 
Lockard and Frank Dunkle. She attended South Altoona Baptist Chapel 
and was a former employee of the Altoona Hospital and Sanker's 
lunchroom. Interment in Alto Reste Burial Park.
