All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ JOHN ECKER Well known resident of Hollidaysburg, died this morning at 1.35 o'clock at his home at 711 Blair street, death being attributed to a complication of ailments. He was the son of William and Hannah Ecker and was born in Hollidaysburg on Nov. 6, 1866, and was employed for many years by the Pennsylvania railroad as a trackman. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran church and the P.R.R. Relief association. Surviving are the following children: George, Paul, Earnest and Miss Margaret Ecker, all of Hollidaysburg, Miss Alice Ecker and Mrs. Nellie Austin of Altoona and Lester Ecker of Osceola Mills; and these sisters, Mrs. William Smith of Huntingdon, Mrs. William Caldwell and Mrs. Albert Kratzer of Hollidaysburg. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at the Cramer and VanAllman funeral parlors in charge of Rev. M. Stanley Kemp. Interment will be made in the Greenlawn cemetery.
