Eckert of West Sixteenth street died at 6:30 o'clock yesterday morning from tuberculosis and pneumonia. A heavy cold contracted about ten days ago hastened the end, although she had been battling for some time to regain her former health. She was a daughter of William and Sarah Aikey Eckert and was born at Snow Shoe intersection May 21, 1899. She was a member of Columbia Avenue Methodist Episcopal church and a number of its societies. She leaves her parents and the following brothers and sisters: Harry, with the American army in France; Clair, William, George, Earl, Harold, Almeda, Violet and Ruth. Funeral will take place from the late home Thursday morning at 10 o'clock in charge of Rev. J. E. Beard of the Columbia avenue church. Interment will be made in Stover's cemetery at Snow Shoe intersection. Altoona Time, Altoona, Pa., Wednesday Morning, December 4, 1918
