SARAH ECKERT DIES HERE THURSDAY, FINAL RITES SCHEDULED SUNDAY Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Eckert died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart F. Shea, 1012 Cameron avenue, at 1:15 o'clock, Thursday afternoon. She was born Dec. 17, 1870, at Zion, Centre county, the daughter of Louis and Charity Almeda Miles Aikey. On Sept. 22, 1892 at Unionville, she married William F. Eckert, who died Aug. 7, 1938. Surviving are these children: Clair C. Eckert, Akron, Ohio; William F., George H., and Earl K. Eckert, Tyrone; Harold E. Eckert, Carlisle; Mrs. R. L. McDowell, Bellefonte, and Mrs. Stewart F. Shea, Tyrone; also 23 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was a member of the Columbia Avenue Methodist church, the Auxiliary to the B. of R. T., and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit. Funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Columbia Avenue Methodist church in charge of the Rev. Ezra L. Parks. Burial will be in the new Union Cemetery, Unionville.
