She had been ailing for a year or more from complicated troubles incident to old age, but she was quite able to go about, and a serious turn of her case was not anticipated by herself or her friends when the summons came. The rupture of a blood vessel was the immediate cause of death. She lived only a few minutes after it occurred. Deceased was the sister of William and the late Robert Waring, of Tyrone. She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Miss Helen Eckley, her brother William Waring, another brother Rev. Edmund H. Waring, of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Ann Lee, of Erie, Pa. Besides her brother Robert, two sisters are dead. She was born in England August 10, 1822, and at death was 80 years and two days old, having celebrated the four score years anniversary only last Sunday. In September 1885, Mr. and Mrs. Eckley and their daughter came direct from England to Tyrone, and they have resided here since that time. Deceased was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church from childhood and in Tyrone was on the First church roll. She was a good Christian woman and a fine type of faithful and true womanhood. The funeral will be held at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon. Services at the family home, and interment at Tyrone cemetery. Tyrone Daily Herald, Tyrone, Pa., Wednesday, August 13, 1902
