WILLIAM EDMISTON.

A well-known and respected citizen of this city, died at the home of
his daughter, Mrs. F. B. Murray, at Hagerstown, Md., yesterday, of
diseases incident to old age.  Deceased was 75 years of age on April
15, 1898.  He had been a resident of this city the greater part of his
life and had been a member of the Baptist church for the past fifty
years.  He is survived by his aged wife and these children: Frank B.,
John, Samuel C., Lewis, Mary, wife of S. H. Diehl, and Ellen, wife of
William Herbert.  The remains will be brought to Altoona for
interment.
