MISS HELEN RUTH ELDER

Daughter of J. A. and Grace M. Elder, died this morning at 12:45 
o'clock at the home of her parents, 2515 Eighth avenue, of 
tuberculosis, after an illness of five months. Last August she was 
taken ill after completing her studies in the Adams school, where she 
was always high in her studies, possessing besides a winning 
personality that endeared her to her friends and school mates. She was 
born in Altoona December 10, 1896, and was a member of the Simpson 
Methodist church. She is survived by her parents and the following 
brothers and sisters: John W., Leroy, Clarence, Albert, Kessler and 
Mrs. Annie Keech, Margaret, Grace M., Lucy, Thelma and Florence, all in 
Altoona or at home.

  The funeral of Helen Ruth Elder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James A. 
Elder, will take place from the home of the parents, 2515 Eighth 
avenue, Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, services to be conducted at 
the house by Rev. V.T. Rue, pastor of Simpson Methodist church. Private 
interment will be made in Rose Hill cemetery.
