Ellenberger, 91, of Morris Lane died Monday, July 5, 2004 at Sheppard of the Valley in Niles, OH. He was born in Tyrone, PA on July 8, 1912 the son of Milton Ellenberger and Lillian Libold. He had lived in Pennsylvania before moving to Girard. He was employed by Grinell ITT as an Auditor/Dispatcher for 27 years, before retiring in the 1970s. He was a member of Woodland Park United Methodist Church of McDonald. He was a lifetime member of United Steel Workers; Common Bond Support Group; Youngstown Traffic Club; Traffic Alumni Club; Senior Club of McDonald and Girard. He is survived by two grandchildren, Lori Jackson of Hubbard, OH (who took care of his affairs), and Robert Ellenberger, Jr. of Binghamton, PA. His first wife Sara Patterson Ellenberger preceded him in death in 1970 as did his second wife, Mildred Evans Ellenberger, in 1995. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Crown Hill Chapel Friday, July 9, 2004 and a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Greg Rowan officiating. Entombment will be at Crown Hill Mausoleum. Arrangements are being handled by the Selby-Cole-Whetstone Funeral Home. Tyrone Daily Herald, July 8, 2004
