Emminger, 88, of Harrisburg, passed away Tuesday. April 27, 2004 at Grayson View, Harrisburg. She was born September 1, 1915 in Altoona, Pa., daughter of the late Frank W. and Eliza C. Shaeffer, She retired from the Central Dauphn School District and St. Thomas United Church of Christ, where she was active for many years. Erma was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Emminger, who passed away in 1962. Surviving are her nephew, James Cree of Newville, 5 nieces, Mrs. Phyllis Brownlee of Harrisburg, Mrs. Marian Frederick of Glen Burnie, MD, Mrs. Janet Harris of Colorado Springs, CO, Mrs. Natalie Wieprecht of Baldwin, MD, and Mrs. Harriett Brown of Long Island, NY. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 30, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the Hoover Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Linglestown. Interment will be at Shoops Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday from 1 - 2 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Thomas United Church of Christ, 6490 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17112 or to Compassionate Care Hospice, 100 East Brown Street.
