English, of 119 Sixth avenue, died at Mercy hospital at 6 a.m. Saturday, of gangrene. He was admitted Wednesday, and was born April 13, 1860, in this county. He worked for the Pennsy since 1881 and since July, 1900, served as a conductor on the Middle Division. His widow and two sons, Oscar and Harry, both of this city, survive, with an adopted daughter, Mrs. Ella Simpson, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Diffenderfer, Altoona; Emma and Jennie English, of Antis township. He was a member of Third Presbyterian church, Order of Railway Conductors and the Pennsy relief association. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock p.m. today. Burial at Greenwood cemetery.
