He was born in this city on April 28, 1895, and had resided in the city all his life. He was the son of John and Frances Ertl, of 1615 Second avenue, who survive. He is also survived by two brothers, Joseph and Frank, and by one sister, Mrs. Annie Dambeck, all of this city. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, the Y.M.I., the Forresters and the P.R.R. Relief association. He was employed as a machinist's helper in the No. 3 Erecting shop of the Pennsy. The funeral will be held on Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock, with mass in St. Mary's church. Interment in St. Mary's cemetery. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Monday Morning, April 15, 1918
