Was Found Dead by a Companion Near Allegrippus. HAD BEEN WALKING ON THE TRACK. Employed on the Improvements Being Made by the Railroad Company at That Point - Was On His Way to Work AN INQUEST LIKELY TO BE HELD The second fatal accident during 1900? In this city or its vicinity occurred yesterday morning about 6.40 o'clock, near Allegrippus, on the Pittsburg division of the Pennsylvania railroad. The victim was Michael Angelo Esposito, an Italian, aged 20 years, who, as far as known, has no kin in this country. An Italian who lives in Philadelphia adopted him, but it is not known in what section of that city he resides. Esposito was on his way to work when the accident occurred. He was employed by Contractor John G. Will on the railroad company improvements which are under way in that locality. He was struck by some passing train. Some say it was Atlantic express, but the engineer --?-- says he saw no one, and is quit positive his locomotive did not strike --?--. The morning was foggy, numerous trains pass the place where the accident occurred, and any one may have caused --?-- death. The body was found on No. 3 track by a fellow countryman, and it only required a superficial examination to convince him Esposito was dead. His --?-- was crushed in, his right leg was broken, as was also his right arm. The body was carried to a tool house, where it was kept until Altoona accommodation came along, when it was placed on board and brought to this city. Here it was given in charge of Undertaker J. P. Lafferty, who prepared it for burial. Deputy Coroner McCartney was notified, who conducted? an investigation. It is not likely an inquest will be held. Morning Tribune, Thursday, January 11, 1900
