He was born November 8, 1921 in Tyrone, the son of John and Julie Sadik Evennach. He was the last of his immediate family. He is survived by a close friend, Helen R. Collitto. Mr. Evennach was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church. He had been employed at the Juniata Shops of the Pennsylvania Railroad, retiring in 1983. He was an Army veteran of World War II with service in the European Theatre. He was a member of the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Company, Howard Gardner Post No. 281 American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4559. Funeral service for Mr. Evennach will be Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. with Father Joseph T. Orr officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Tyrone Daily Herald, February 5, 2007
