Exline, a prominent resident of this city, died at his home, 610 Eleventh street, last evening at 9:06 o'clock, after a several weeks' illness from a complication of diseases. He was born in Bedford county, January 11, 1852, and was a son of John and Esther Exline. He came to Altoona early in life and for over thirty years was one of the city's most prominent business men, being engaged in house decorating, painting and contracting. Mr. Exline was a member of First Lutheran church and was a man of exemplary habits, loved and respected by a host of friends. Surviving are his wife, one son, Blair, and four sisters, Mrs. E. Paul, Mrs. Mary Slaubenhaup and Mrs. Elizabeth Davis, all of this city, and Mrs. Evaline Dunkle, of Curry. Two brothers also survive, Adam, of Imler, and Jeremiah, of Uniontown, Fayette county. Funeral services will be conducted from the home Wednesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, with interment following in the Rose Hill cemetery. Interment will be private and will be made in Rose Hill cemetery. The remains may be viewed this evening from 7 to 9 o'clock and on Wednesday afternoon from 1 to 3?.
