V. V. Gaskin, the Ligonier undertaker, went to Altoona Sunday evening and returned Monday evening with the body of the deceased which was taken to the home of her son, Casper M. Fry on Church street, where funeral services were held Tuesday morning, November 27, at 10 o'clock, conducted by her pastor, Rev. W. R. Corter, with interment in Laurel Hill cemetery near Laughlin-town. She is survived by the following sons, Casper M., of Ligonier; Norman C, of Laughlintown; Joseph E. and Charles L., of Ligonier township, and by four daughters, Mrs. Frank Keech and Mrs. Cashling, of Altoona; Mrs. Frank Shupe, of Pitcairn, and Mrs. David Wolford, of Santa Ana, California; also by 25 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Her husband died April 8, 1914. They spent their entire married life in Ligonier township. She is the last of the Abram Penrod family and the nearest relative living is Mrs. Penrod, the widow of Casper Penrod.
