All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ ACCIDENT. - On Wednesday morning last, about half past six o'clock, Godfrey Farabaugh, of this place, was so seriously injured, as to cause his death on Thursday evening. He was standing on the railroad, on the Allegheny mountain, when he was knocked down by a passing locomotive - Falling against a locomotive on the adjoining track, his left leg was broken in three places, and one of his hands badly mutilated. He was brought home on Wednesday evening, and on Thursday afternoon his leg was amputated. He expired in a few hours after the amputation. He was twenty years and a few months old. His funeral, on Sunday afternoon, was attended by the Allegheny and Juniata Fire Companies and a vast concourse of citizens. - Register.
