Names of Those Who Have Crossed the Dark River. At half past 6 o'clock yesterday morning Mrs. Virginia Farber, wife [of] Samuel Farber, of 2120 Twelfth avenue, died, her death being directly traceable to an attack of the grip with which she was seized Sunday. At first her illness caused no alarm but Tuesday evening she was compelled to take her bed and sank rapidly until death ensued. Deceased was an estimable Christian lady and the sympathy of the community goes out to the family in their bereavement. She was a daughter of Dr. A. S. and Martha J. Smith, deceased, and was born in Pattonsville, Bedford county, twenty-six years ago. Besides her husband, to whom she was married eight years ago, she is survived by two small children, three brothers and two sisters. The brothers and sisters are: G. W., C. Edward and John S. Smith, Miss E. P. Smith, of this city, and Mrs. M. C. Kuhn, of Carlisle. The funeral will take place to-morrow at 2 p.m. Services will be conducted at Christ's Reformed church, of which she was a member, by the pastor, Rev. D. S. Dieffenbacher. The interment will be made in Fairview cemetery. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, April 2, 1891
