Farran, passenger brakeman on the Pittsburgh division, were greatly shocked on Saturday morning on learning that his estimable wife had died at 9:30 o'clock that morning, at the residence of Mr. Patrick Carboy, Fourteenth avenue between Twelfth and Thirteenth streets. Mrs. Farran's maiden name was Maggie Brannen and at the time of death she was aged 24 years, 8 months and 23 days. She had been married about five months. The deceased was a lady who had a large circle of acquaintances and friends, and to these the news of her death was a sad blow. During Sunday quite a number of the friends of the deceased called at her late home to take a last look at the face of their friend. To Mr. Farran the sympathies of his many friends are extended in his hours of bereavement. The deceased was a Christian woman and a member of St. John's Catholic church.
