MRS. GERTRUDE W. FAYAD 

Died at 10:25 o'clock lat night at Valley View home after an illness of 
three months.  Mrs. Fayad was born Aug. 7, 1881, at Hollidaysburg, 
R.D., a daughter of Martin L. and Elizabeth (Ullery) Wertz.  Her 
husband, Rookis S. Fayad, whom she married Jan. 1, 1898, died in 1949.  
Surviving are four children, Mrs. Anna Rutledge of Washington, D.C., 
Mrs. Madelyn Chase of Altoona, Simon of Los Angeles, Calif., and Edward 
C. of Turtle Creek; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one 
great-great-grandchild.  Mrs. Fayad was a member of the Loop Christian 
and Missionary Alliance church.  Friends will be received at the 
Creamer & Plank funeral home, Hollidaysburg, after 7 o'clock this 
evening.
