FEATHER Lifelong resident of Freedom township, where he followed farming all his life, died at his home Sunday morning at 3.30 o'clock, death being attributed to a complication of ailments incident to advanced age. He was a son of Henry M. and Catherine Claar Feather and was born Feb. 21, 1862, on the Feather homestead, where he died. Surviving are his wife and these children: Harry and Edward Feather, at home, Mrs. McKinley Strayer and William Feather of Claysburg, R.D., and Mrs. Robert Ritchie of Lakemont, and nineteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are two brothers and one sister, John M. Feather of East Freedom, Benjamin F. Feather of Roaring Spring and Nancy, residing in Altoona. He was a member of the Grace Reformed church at Claysburg. Mr. Feather always took an active part in township affairs, was a staunch Republican in politics and served frequently on the county committee. Friends will be received at the home. FEATHER - Funeral services for Adam Feather will be conducted Thursday morning at 10 o'clock in the Claysburg Reformed church in charge of the pastor Rev. H. C. [smudged]. Interment in the Feather cemetery near the Feather homestead in Freedom township. Friends are being received at the home in Freedom township.
