Mrs. Elizabeth Feather, wife of Joseph S. Feather, died at her home at this place on the 13th, aged 40 years, 2 months and 8 days. She died rather suddenly. Her husband left her in apparently good health on Monday morning and went to Hollidaysburg, as usual, where he is employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad company. She died a few hours afterward of heart failure. She was a gentle, loving woman, who made her home cheerful and happy. She was a member of the Church of God and loved her church. Her funeral occurred on Wednesday. Her pastor, the Rev. Mr. Grove, preached the funeral sermon. Mr. Feather has been sorely bereaved. His wife and five children have died since he became a resident of our town a few years ago. Altoona Tribune, Thursday, February 23, 1899
