MRS. ELLEN J. FEATHER

Widow of William H. Feather, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. 
John Kanode, in Martinsburg yesterday morning at 9 o'clock following a 
short illness attributed to a heart ailment.  She was the daughter of 
Jacob and Sarah (Hoffman) Stern and was born at Roaring Spring on Sept. 
20, 1857.  She was united in marriage with Mr. Feather in November, 
1878, at Roaring Spring, R.D.  Surviving are these children: Mrs. 
Kanode, Mary Feather of Roaring Spring, Roy of Baltimore, Md., and 
Howard of roaring Spring; one sister, Mrs. S. B. Stoner of Grantham, 
Pa.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Feather was 
educated in the district schools and was a member of the Brethren in 
Christ church at Martinsburg for 67 years.  Friends will be received at 
the Kanode home in South Martinsburg this evening.

FEATHER - Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen J. Feather will be conducted 
Thursday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in the Brethren in Christ church in 
Martinsburg.  Interment in the Replogle cemetery at Woodbury.  Friends 
will be received this evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John 
Kanode, in Martinsburg.
