Mr. Feather was born in Ore Hill, Pa., March 23, 1881, a son of David and Barbara (Lingenfelter) Feather. He was employed as a crane operator in the iron foundry of the South Altoona shops, retiring Jan. 27, 1945, after 42 years' service. Mr. Feather was married twice, first to Essie R. Stoner, who died Jan. 13, 1938, and ten to Myra Scanlon, who died Oct. 16, 1945. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Grace Wombacher of Hollidaysburg and Mrs. Dorothy Simmer of Colmar Manor, Md.; two sons, Gerald of Colmar Manor, Md., and Orville, of the city, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Ella Buck, Miss Mary Feather and Mrs. Jennie Zimmers of Altoona. He was a member of the Schum Memorial United Brethren church. Friends will be received at the Laughlin funeral home. Altoona Mirror, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday, January 2, 1951
