FEATHER Retired Pennsylvania Railroad company veteran and one of Hollidaysburg's foremost citizens and churchmen, died at his home, 526 Pine street, this morning at 10 o'clock, death being attributed to complications. He had been in failing health for several years but had only been in a serious condition for six weeks. He was the son of Samuel and Mrs. Mary Feather, both deceased, and was born in Freedom township, Feb. 20, 1858, where he grew to manhood and where he attended the public schools and followed farming. He later secured employment with the Pennsylvania Railroad company and moved to Hollidaysburg, working there until he retired two years ago. Mr. Feather was prominently identified with the Church of God and was one of the organizers and a charter member of the Hollidaysburg congregation. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Shaffer Feather, and one son, Chester Feather, at home, and three daughters, Mrs. Mary Corbin, Mrs. John Casner and Mrs. Mark Vaughn, all of Hollidaysburg. He is also survived by two brothers, George Feather of Eldorado and Samuel Feather of Blandburg, and two sisters Mrs. Thomas Falkner and Mrs. John Stalker of Altoona.
