Feather, died at her home, 738 Locust street, Roaring Spring, at 2.30 o'clock yesterday afternoon of paralysis. She suffered a stroke yesterday a week ago and a second one on Saturday. She was born in Freedom township, Aug. 21, 1864, a daughter of Jacob and Sarah Helsel, and was united in marriage with Austin Feather on Aug. 28, 1881. Eleven children were born to the union, five of whom survive, Frank and Jacob Feather of East Freedom, R.F.D. No. 1, Chester Feather of McKee, W. Howard Feather of Roaring Spring, and Miss Ruth N. Feather, at home. In addition are her husband, one brother, Peter Helsel, and a half-sister, Mrs. Annie Butler, both of East Freedom. Mr. and Mrs. Feather reside in a farm near East Freedom until seven years ago when they moved to Roaring Spring. Mrs. Feather was a member of the Reformed church. The funeral cortege will leave the home in Roaring Spring at 1.30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon for the Leamersville Church of the Brethren where funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock with Rev. James A. Sell officiating. Interment will be made in the Lutheran cemetery at Newry. Altoona Mirror, Monday, 9 June 1930
