Michael Feather died at his home near Eldorado yesterday at 11.55 o'clock after a short illness from pneumonia, having been sick less than two days. He was born Jan. 30, 1841, and had resided in the county all his life, following the occupation of a farmer practically all his life until a few years ago when he retired from active work. He is survived by one brother, George Feather, residing in North Dakota and by four sons: William A. of Burlington, Was., George E. and James of Pittsburgh and D. O. of Eldorado, with whom he made his home and by one daughter, Mrs. Alma Wilt. He was a veteran of the Civil war and was a color sergent in the One Hundred and Tenth Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer infantry and had served in a number of battles, principally the battles of Gettysburg and Antietam. He was a member of Post 39, G.A.R., the Union Veteran Legion and was a member of the Lutheran church of Newry. Arrangements for the funeral have not yet been completed. The funeral of Michael Feather will be private, and will be conducted at the home at Eldorado, on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, followed by interment in Carson Valley cemetery.
