SCOTT FEATHER Retired employe of the General Refractories corporation, died last night at 8 o'clock at his home in Claysburg of a complication of ailments after several weeks' illness. Mr. Feather was born in Claysburg on March 6, 1861, a son of John and Mary (Russell) Feather. He was united in marriage on Dec. 7, 1886, with Miss Rebecca Shock, who survives together with two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Helsel and Mrs. Earl Koontz, both of Claysburg. Mr. Feather also is survived by the following brothers and sister: Gilmore Feather and Mrs. Amanda Smith, both of Claysburg, and Lloyd Feather of Akron, O. FEATHER - Funeral services for W. Scott Feather of Claysburg will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock in the Claysburg Methodist church in charge of the pastor, Rev. W. S.(?) Pote. Interment will follow in the Claysburg cemetery, Friends are being received at the late home. Altoona Mirror, July 19, 1938
