WILLIAM A. FEATHER

Of Box 117, East Freedom RD 1, died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 
1974, at Altoona Hospital, where he was admitted July 12, after an 
extended illness. Mr. Feather retired in 1969 from General Refractories 
Co., Claysburg. He was born March 28, 1907, in East Freedom, a son of 
Adam and Mary E. (Hair) Feather, and married Isabelle M. Lukehart on 
Nov. 28, 1930. Surviving are his wife, eight children, William E. of 
Roaring Spring, Isabell Thompson of Duncansville, Mrs. Violet M. 
Feathers of Claysburg RD, Mrs. Vivian D. Carr of Boyertown, Mrs. 
Darlene Hilbert and Adam S. of Pottstown, George W. of Long Island, 
N.Y., and Floyd T. of Newry; 28 grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. 
Martha Ritchey of Lakemont and Mrs. Jennie Strayer of East Freedom RD. 
Friends will be received in the John L. Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring 
Spring, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, and in the Emmanuel Baptist 
Church, Ski Gap Road, after noon tomorrow.
