John Feeney, an aged and respected citizen, died at his home, 1918 Eleventh avenue, at 7.45 o'clock last evening. The illness which resulted in his death was caused by cholera morbus. He had been sick less than one week. The deceased was born in Ireland in 1836 and came to the United States in 1854. He was married in Columbia county, N.Y., in 1857, and about ten years later removed to Altoona, which has since been his home. He was a boilermaker by trade and had been in the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad company for over thirty years. His wife died in 1869. The following children survive: Mrs. Elizabeth Eichenlaub, Lawrence, Mrs. Ellen Reilly and Mrs. Catharine Savage, all of this city, and Charles, of Philadelphia. The deceased was a member of St. John's Catholic church, at which place the services will be held, the time for which will be announced later. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, July 27, 1899
